I might be having the same issue, on a 4090, it uses around 20%, and it hangs after a while, I have to force quit, and restart it.
you can max out the drag on the desk, and it should keep it from bouncing when everything else does.
and to anchor stuff you need to move the origin, hold "O" and use WASD, itll rotate and squash from the point.
